Backend Developer

Role Overview

While the frontend is what users see, the backend is the engine that drives everything. We are looking for a Backend Developer who is obsessed with building robust, scalable, and secure server-side logic. At FAAZ TECH, our backend engineers tackle complex data architecture challenges, ensuring that our applications are fast, reliable, and capable of handling heavy loads without breaking a sweat.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
• Architect and optimize relational database schemas (PostgreSQL) and implement caching strategies using Redis.
• Build and maintain secure RESTful or GraphQL APIs that serve as the backbone for web and mobile clients.
• Implement robust security and data protection protocols to safeguard sensitive user information.
• Integrate third-party services and payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal) with a focus on reliability and error handling.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to define API contracts and ensure seamless data integration.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend development using Node.js (Express/NestJS) or similar frameworks.
• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming and its quirks.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with NoSQL databases when appropriate.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization for consistent development and deployment environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a “test-driven” approach to writing server-side code.
